That right after a two year hiatus I am back to talk about one of my favorite subjects... Food! A lot has changed over the last two year including my eating habits. About two years ago I decided to start eating less meat and more fruits and vegetables. It seems pointless to argue the merits of such a change, I will simple say that it is true that if you eat better you feel better. I have heard a lot of people joke that if you are what you eat then I would want to be a piece of bacon (actually I have never heard anyone say this). Why if you could be anything would you pick something dead? Eat living things you come alive. It seems simple enough. For your enjoyment I have included a recipe for cantaloupe punch which is a good starter drink to drink in the morning. It is by no means the healthiest drink but is better then most things people eat to start their day. Enjoy:
Cantaloupe Punch
You will need a juicer of some sort, I used a commercial citrus press and a Hurom slow juicer (where I got the recipe)
Juice 1 Cantaloupe (de-seeded and cut out of rind of course)
12 oranges
1 lemon
Optional: add ground cinnamon with an immersion blender to finished juice. This should be added to taste (somewhere from 1/4 tsp - 1/2 tsp)
